NAGT Endowed Funds
NAGT has established the following funds that support designated activities and programs of the Association. Income distributions from these funds are governed by the NAGT Endowment Policy (Acrobat (PDF) 65kB Jun4 08). Your generous donations will be added to the designated fund's income producing endowment. Contributions can be made via the secure members services site or by contacting the Executive Director's office.
- Field Course Scholarship Endowed Fund:
The Field Course Scholarship Endowed Fund supports a competitive program of scholarships for students attending field courses. Income distributions from this fund are governed by the NAGT Endowment Policy (Acrobat (PDF) 65kB Jun4 08).
- Honors and Awards Fund:
The Honors and Awards Fund was established in 1978 through a generous donation made by one of the founders of the Association. The monies in this fund are used to cover expenses incurred in presenting the Neil A. Miner Awards as well as other honors and awards bestowed by the Association. - Leland Horberg Memorial Endowed Fund:
The Leland Horberg Memorial Fund was established by friends of Professor Horberg, longtime professor of geology at Augustana College, at the time of his death in August 1955. Income from the fund has been used to support Association programs designed to improve the teaching of the earth sciences. Since 1990 income from the fund has also been used to support the Association's Field Camp Scholarship program. The NAGT Endowment was established by the Executive Committee in 2008 and is administered in accordance with the NAGT Endowment Policy (Acrobat (PDF) 65kB Jun4 08). Income from the endowment is used to support Association programs and the ongoing operating expenses of the Association.
- Maurice B. Rosalsky Endowed Fund:
The Rosalsky Fund was established in 1970 as a tribute to Maurice B. Rosalsky for his many years of dedication and service to the Association, including sixteen years as National Secretary and Secretary-Treasurer of the Eastern Section. Income from the Fund has been used to support a variety of Association programs. Since 1994, with the concurrence of the Rosalsky family, the income has been used to support Field Camp Scholarships.
