Weather is usually mild to hot at this time of year, but evenings will be cool and it could rain.

And, for more geology of Southwest Montana, the NAGT meeting is scheduled to occur immediately before the annual meeting (August 2-5) of the Tobacco Root Geological Society (opens in a new window), which will also be held at the Birch Creek Center this year.
