This document, part of the American Association for Higher Learning's (AAHE) website, lists and defines nine fundamental principles and tips for effective student assessment. The AAHE is an independent, membership-based, nonprofit organization that helps campuses, programs, and individuals to plan, implement, and share the results of their assessment efforts by publishing, networking, and sponsoring regional workshops and an annual national conference.
