Considerations on Experience-based Learning
K.J. McDermott, O. Gol, A. Nafalski 2002 Global Journal of Engineering Education v.6, n.1, p. 71-78
This article is about experiential learning in engineering, but it can be easily applied to any discipline. The authors provide a plain-spoken introduction to experience-based education, and explain that they find it to be an essential technique based on physiological, psychological, epistemological and pragmatic reasons. The text also discusses some practical considerations for using experience-based learning, and gives recommendations for incorporating experiential education in the engineering curriculum.
