This resource includes a hypermedia on aquarium ecosystems organized around structures, behaviors, and functions as well as NetLogo simulations of macro and microlevel processes. The macrolevel model demonstrates environmental carrying capacity and problematizes the processes that are visible in the microlevel model as it shows the relationship between water quality and population. The microlevel model shows the nitrification process in a closed system.
