M. Chantale Damas

Dr. M. Chantale Damas is an Associate Professor in the Physics Department at QCC. She has a background in space science and has a long history of working with and mentoring underrepresented students in STEM research. Her students have presented their work at national science meetings, including the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meetings, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) meetings, and the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) Conferences, both regional and national, as well as CUNY and QCC Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. She has incorporated innovative and proven pedagogical methods in her classes. She has also managed several proposals and has experience as an administrator and evaluator. Her research interests include space weather and science education.
