Webinar Description:

Give your students the chance to dig into a wide variety of data sets and concepts related to ice and sea level changes - including sea surface temperature, thermal expansion, ice and sea level satellite altimetry, vertical GPS, gravity (GRACE), and InSAR.

This webinar introduces instructors to the Understanding Our Changing Climate: Data Behind Melting Ice and Changing Sea Level teaching module from the GEodesy Tools for Societal Issues (GETSI) project. In the course of this module, students not only significantly increase their data analysis skills and understanding of Earth's climate system, but gain experience doing a stakeholder analysis and communicating findings to stakeholders.

The module is appropriate for a wide variety of upper level courses including Cryosphere, Environmental Science, Earth System Science, Geosciences, Meteorology, Oceanography, Geological hazards, and Global change.
