Carleton by the Numbers

How do we know that we are providing our students a liberal arts education of the highest order? How do we know that we are meeting the challenges of an ever-changing world?

While numbers alone cannot answer these questions, a few choice numbers can certainly move the conversation along. At the February 2008 meeting of Carleton's Board of Trustees, the Dean's Office presented a first draft of "Metrics of Academic Excellence"--an attempt to assess the Carleton education from many perspectives.
