Curricular Pathways
There are many activities in the educational materials collection of ANGLE and partners-- which ones will you teach?
A selection of activities is organized here into distinct pathways, each with a unique Big Idea, Essential Questions and Essential Understandings. Choose a pathway based on the interests of you and/or your students, or based on specific standards or learning objectives within your curriculum. Pathways can be done in their entirety or you can pick and choose individual activities from multiple pathways.

Glossary of activity types
Each pathway contains a variety of lessons and activities, some hands-on, and some that can be delivered virtually. To help educators choose suitable lessons to meet your objectives, activities are categorized using key words, such as "Data" to indicate lessons that are designed around real world data, "Inquiry" for lessons in which students can do open-ended research, and "Virtual" for lessons that can be delivered in a distance format. Each of the activities is designated with one or more of the following descriptors.
- Collaborative - Students work together in groups to solve problems or research answers to questions.
- Data - Use of data portals to collect and analyze scientific data.
- Hands-on - Students use lab materials and manipulatives to learn by doing.
- Introductory - Activity or lesson that introduces a key concept.
- Inquiry - Activity or resource that accommodates student exploration.
- Virtual - Fully digital activity that works well for virtual learning.
