Proposal Writing Workshop, March 2013

published Jan 18, 2013 9:23am

Have you considered writing a grant proposal to improve undergraduate teaching and learning in your courses, but not done it for lack of necessary information about writing education proposals, or lack of time?

Please consider applying to attend the 3-day proposal writing workshop supported by the Resources to Transform Undergraduate Geoscience Education (RTUGeoEd) project (https://rtugeoed.buffalostate.edu/).

The objective of this workshop is to help you complete a grant proposal to NSF's Tranforming Undergraduate Education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)(TUES) Program, the core funding program in the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) for supporting undergraduate educational innovation. The submission deadline for entry-level "Type 1" proposal submissions to the TUES Program is mid-May, and our goal is for you to have a submission-ready proposal by that time.

Workshop Dates: March 14-17, 2013

Location: Campus of the University of South Florida - Tampa. All lodging and on-site expenses for workshop participants are covered through funding from the National Science Foundation.

The workshop conveners are Dr. Jill Singer (Buffalo State College), and Dr. Jeff Ryan (University of South Florida) two former NSF-DUE geoscience Program Directors.

A limited amount of funding for travel support is available. Please contact Jill Singer (singerjk@buffalostate.edu) or Jeff Ryan (ryan@mail.usf.edu) about travel support, and for more information.
